On March 28, 1989, Saf-T-Pak’s initial product offering, the STP-100, became the first packaging system in the world to be certified by a national authority, Transport Canada, for the safe transport of infectious substances. 30 years later, the STP-100 is still the go-to shipping system for Category A (UN 2900, UN 2814) specimens.
After receiving approval for the STP-100, Saf-T-Pak began offering Division 6.2 Compliance Training Seminars for the proper classification, identification, packing, marking and labeling, documentation and handling of infectious substances. Over the three decades, our 6.2 Compliance training has grown to include self-guided eLearning and Webinar offerings.
Saf-T-Pak, an Inmark Company, was founded in 1988 with the mission to develop and distribute packaging specifically for the safe transport of infectious substances in accordance to the regulations set forth by the US Department of Transportation, Transport Canada, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
